Each Briye Scholar is selected through a transparent process based on financial need, academic promise, character, leadership potential, and a demonstrated desire to contribute to family, community, or society.
Tuition, registration, books, transportation, technology, and exam fees, verified education-related costs paid directly to schools, vendors, or scholars depending on what's most effective and accountable.
Light mentorship and periodic check-ins support discipline and seriousness of purpose. Each year, scholars write a reflection; The Briye Letter, describing what they learned, what changed, and what they intend to give back.
Scholars are asked to reflect on how their education can serve family, community, or broader public value. This is not a debt to repay — it is a commitment to participate in the work of building.
Briye is guided by a Board of Directors and Advisors responsible for governance, accountability, donor stewardship, and the integrity of the Briye Scholars Fund.
Scholars are chosen through a published, multi-criteria process. Reviewers disclose conflicts and recuse where necessary. Criteria are weighted, not vibes-based.
Every contribution receives an acknowledgement and a clear connection to the cohort it supports. We don't oversell impact. We report what actually happened.
